Conceal Carry Licensing

Individuals applying for or renewing a CCW license can schedule an appointment at the Ohio Means Jobs building on Tallmadge Avenue in Akron by clicking SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT.

Walk-ins are accepted for those who do not want to use the online scheduling platform or prefer to pay with check or money order, however walk-ins should be aware that those ahead of them with scheduled appointments will be processed first.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office does not accept CCW applications by mail.
