About Us

Sheriff Fatheree is the 38th Sheriff of Summit County. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office was created mere days after the county itself was established in 1840. Today, the organization consists of over 320 deputies, over 80 special deputies, and over 70 civilians, making the Sheriff’s Office both the oldest and the largest government office in Summit County.
