Incident and Accident Reports
Incident and Accident Reports are public record and can be requested by phone, by mail, or in-person. Additionally, Accident Reports are also available online.

Please complete a request form and enclose with a check or money order for $1.50 and send to:

Please make sure to include the return address on the envelope.
In-Person:
Please call before you come to the Jail to make sure the report you are seeking is available.
Online (Accident Reports) :
Downloadable Accident Reports are available online here for a $1.00 fee. You will be required to provide a report or reference number, a last name, and a date.
Please note: Not all police records are considered a public record. Due to the sensitive nature of some of the information included in police reports, the Summit County Sheriff's Office is required by law to protect that information.
Photographic Files
Photographs taken at Incident and Accident scenes are retained by the Records & ID Bureau. Records & ID Bureau staff provide assistance to Sheriff’s Office staff and the general public to review Photographs. The purchase of copies by the general public is determined by the County Fee Schedule. Please call (330) 643-2176 to determine costs of the photos. Payment must be received before we will process the order.
The Records and ID office is open weekdays 8:00am-4:00pm and is located at the Summit County Jail. All copies of records are $.10/per page.
